Post Graduate Studies Program : «Advanced Design, Technology & Management of Wooden Products»

The Post Graduate Studies Program: MSc in Advanced Design, Technology & Management of Wooden Products offers three (3) specializations: a) Desing of Products, b) Technology and Constructions and c) Management and Marketing.

The Post Graduate Program was founded according to FEK 2903/19.7.2018 τ’Β , it successfully operates since the academic year 2015-2016 with its initial title «Advanced Methods of Wood Products Construction» and it is a unique post graduate program that operates in the Greek Higher Education specializing in the fields of: Wooden constructions, innovative materials, contemporary design methods, CAD-CAM systems, intelligent systems, marketing, accounting, management, innovation and entrepreneurship in the wood and furniture sectors, gaining the impressions and recognition from its first years of operation.

The mission of the Program is the training of specialized and capable business and services executives, entrepreneurs and researchers, in order to correspond in a dynamic way to the contemporary challenging professional and business environment.

Πρόγραμμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών (ΠΜΣ): «Πολυλειτουργική Διαχείριση Δασικών Οικοσυστημάτων & Βιοοικονομία»

The subjects of the Master's Program entitled: "Multifunctional Management of Forest Ecosystems and Bio-economy" ("MSc in Multifunctional Management of Natural Ecosystems and Bio-economy"), are an upgraded continuation of the subjects of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences & Design and specifically those that have been determined in accordance with decision no. 215/17.5.2019 of the Senate of the University of Thessaly and are: Forestry and Wood Sciences and Planning and especially the direction of Natural Environment Management.

Based on the developments and requirements of the market, of science in general, but also of the National Strategy for Forests (Y.A. 170195/758, Official Gazette 5351/Β/28-11-2018) the subjects covered by the due to PMS are those that are internationally recognized and refer to a) Multifunctional Management of Forest Ecosystems, and b) Bioeconomy.

The purpose of the MSc is to create specialized and capable executives of businesses and services, as well as entrepreneurs and researchers in bio-economy matters and the application of its principles in the modern multifunctional management of forest ecosystems and natural resources of great value.

Interdepartmental Master's Program (MSc):

Cognitive subject: Agricultural sciences - Environmental sciences – Geosciences - Engineering Sciences - Environmental Risk Management.

The main objectives of the P.M.S. are the folowing: The provision of high level postgraduate education The specialization of scientists in modern environmental protection technologies against natural hazards and sustainable management methodologies. The provision of knowledge and appropriate supplies to the students of P.M.S. to either effectively staff the private and public sectors or to continue their studies at PhD level.

Application Form

Main purpose of MSc is the specialization and deepening of the graduates of the program in matters concerning the management technologies of the land, water, natural, built and road environment, both at a theoretical and applied level, based on the principles of sustainable development. In particular, the purpose of the MSc is the provision of high quality education in the field of Environmental Risk Management by applying modern techniques and methodologies of study, investigation, prediction, management and proposal of protection and prevention measures based on the principles of sustainability.
